I have always been in love with the graphic design of the 1920/30s. It’s impactful, uncluttered, with gorgeous hand painted geometric shapes and sharp typography.

I was inspired by this aesthetic when designing posters for Soda Blonde’s merch stand in 2022. I took motifs from our music videos - such as the milk glass in Terrible Hands - and paid homage to artists such as A. M. Cassandre, Alexey Brodovitch & Paul Colin.

The result, I feel, is a different kind of “band poster” - one the can take centre stage, framed above a fire place in any living room.
