As a founding member of Little Green Cars, O’Regan contributed significantly to their distinctive indie-folk sound, achieving international recognition with chart-topping albums and extensive tours. Following the band’s amicable disbandment in 2019, he co-founded Soda Blonde, where his expertise as a producer and musician has been pivotal. Soda Blonde’s debut album, Small Talk (2021), garnered critical acclaim and a nomination for RTÉ’s Choice Music Prize Album of the Year, while their sophomore release, Dream Big (2023), further solidified their reputation with another Choice Music Prize nomination.
Beyond his contributions to these bands, O’Regan has established himself as a versatile creative force. He has produced and mixed music for various artists, directed and edited over 30 music videos, and designed album artwork, showcasing his wide-ranging artistic talents. A notable highlight of his career includes Soda Blonde’s sold-out performance with the National Symphony Orchestra at Dublin’s National Concert Hall, featuring orchestral arrangements of Dream Big, some of which were his own compositions in collaboration with Gavin Murphy. This event underscored his versatility as a composer and arranger, further cementing his status as a dynamic and influential figure in the arts.
