Small Talk LP Design

Soda Blonde’s Small Talk LP (2021)

The design for the album cover draws from the photographic styles of Gregory Crewdson, Dave LaChapelle, and Nadia Lee Cohen. Just as these artists capture captivating and visually stunning images in their work, the album cover seeks to evoke a similar, though-provoking aesthetic. The idea was to suggest an emotional subtext through the vacant body language of the subject.

The layout of the design is deliberately minimal, allowing the imagery to take center stage and do the talking. By adopting a clean and understated approach, the focus is placed on the visuals, creating an immersive experience for the audience. The aim is to transport the viewers into a world that is both visually striking and thought-provoking, echoing the nuanced storytelling found in the works of Crewdson, LaChapelle, and Cohen.
